San Marino, June 23rd, 2020 – Three thousand surgical masks and more than three hundred liters of idroalcoholic gel were donated to the Institute for Social Safety of the Republic of San Marino by the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta as a contribution to the fight against COVID-19 disease.

The delivery was made on June 24th personally by the Ambassador H.E. Prof. Marcello Celestini. The short ceremony was attended by Mr. Christian Forcellini representing the Secretariat of State for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Lisa Tommassini representing the Secretariat of State for Health and the Administrative Director of the ISS Mr. Marcello Forcellini. It was “a sign of closeness between two states that have always been friends”, as underlined by Ambassador Celestini.

The next day, on the Solemnity of the birth of St. John the Baptist, Patron of the Order of Malta, Mons. Americo Ciani, Magistral Chaplain celebrated Holy Mass in the Valloni Oratory in San Marino.
