The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Thursday 25 April 2024 between the Secretariat of State for Health of the Republic of San Marino and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta for the cardiovascular prevention project AMPAM (Mobile Cardiovascular Prevention Clinic of the Embassy of the Order of Malta). The signing saw as protagonists Ambassador Marcello Celestini with delegation from the Prosecutor of the Grand Priory of Lombardy and Venice and the Secretary of State for Health and Safety Mariella Mularoni.

This agreement underlines the desire to continue the screening of the San Marino population for cardiovascular prevention in the framework of the AMPAM project already in place for some years by the SMOM Embassy and to integrate it with the prevention activities conducted by the Institute for Social Security of the Republic of San Marino through the Cardiology Unit of the State Hospital. This integration was considered a strong point to further improve clinical healthcare effectiveness and awareness among healthcare professionals and citizens of the Republic of San Marino.
