San Marino, 30 June 2024 – Some thirty members of the Order and numerous volunteers led by the Grand Priory Delegate Emanuele Ranuzzi de’ Bianchi, accepted the invitation of H.E. Amb. Prof. Marcello Celestini and gathered in the Church of San Francesco for the Holy Mass in honour of St. John the Baptist, Patron of the Order of Malta, celebrated by H.E. Most Rev. Mons. Domenico Benvenuti, Bishop of San Marino – Montefeltro.
The celebration was attended by H.E. Michael Kirk Grace, Member of the Sovereign Council, H.E. Ambassador Maria Alessandra Albertini – who in a few days will present her letters of credence as the new Ambassador of the Most Serene Republic of San Marino to the Order of Malta – with Minister Plenipotentiary Cesare Tabarrini, and the Commander of the Civil Police Dr. Verter Selva.
In his beautiful homily, Mgr. Benvenuti, taking the readings of the day as a starting point, recalled the importance for members and volunteers of the Order of Malta to exercise their vocation of charity in favour of the poorest and most fragile in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
At the end of the celebration, those present gathered in the adjoining monastery of the Nuns of the Eucharistic Adoration for a convivial moment.
